Rules that resonate with me from The playbook: A coaches rules for life

The playbook: A coaches rules for life is a nice documentary on Netflix about, well, what the name says. Here are some rules of the coaches featured on it that resonated with me, in order of how much they resonated with me.

  1. The 24-hour rule (don’t agonise over something more than 24 hours).
  2. Everything depends on you.
  3. Champions keep moving forward.
  4. Growth takes place outside your comfort zone.
  5. Pressure is a privilege.
  6. Hold fast, stay true.
  7. If you are prepared for the worst, you are prepared.
  8. Finish the race.
  9. Your biggest weakness can be your greatest strength.
  10. Don’t be a victim.
  11. Mistakes are inevitable but don’t let them define you.
  12. Don’t coach the player, coach the team.
  13. Emotions are the worst adviser.
  14. Ubuntu is a way of life.
